LG Will Release the G Watch R

LG G Watch RLG has unveiled its new smartwatch model, the G Watch R. It will be available next month in various select markets, such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and France. Soon, the company will also release a round smartwatch for countries in Asia and North America, but it doesn’t specify an exact time. The G Watch R looks similar to the earlier square-shaped model in terms of hardware specs.

It is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and a tiny 410mAh battery. However, unlike its predecessor, the G Watch R has a heart rate monitoring sensor and a round 1.3-inch P-OLED display with 320 x 320 screen resolution.

The smartwatch comes with enhanced power savings mode and six pre-loaded watch faces. It runs the Android Wear platform, which allows us to add multiple new features. Any update from LG will be transferred through a paired smartphone. While the original G Watch comes with a no-nonsense design, the G Watch R is simply more aesthetic. It is intended to meld functionality and features together in a good harmony. The device doesn’t only look great, but it can also make our life more convenient.
