OnePlus OneWatch Could Feature Curved Battery, Sapphire Glass and Qi Wireless Charging

From Samsung to Motorola to Swatch, nearly all device manufacturers are ready to introduce their take on smart wearables, especially smartwatches. OnePlus is one of those Chinese upstarts and the company is planning to elbow its way into the promising industry as well. Sources in India reveal early details of the OnePlus OneWatch and the smartwatch could come with a solution that plagues current crop of wearables.

At the moment, Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch fall short in terms of charging capability. For this reason, the OnePlus is equipped with integrated Qi wireless charger, which makes it very easy to charge the watch without cables. Visually, the OneWatch seems to have a configurable button, curved battery inside the wristband and sapphire glass protection on the display.

The OneWatch is certainly a thing of beauty if the company is really working on it. It looks like a luxury timepiece, even compared to the Moto 360. OnePlus is known for its competitive pricing and the OneWatch could help the industry to bring down the smartwatch prices into a more reasonable level. It’s also quite likely that the OnePlus OneWatch will be another Android Wear device.
